On this page I list some of the problems I had with the Wallbox Pulsar Plus.

Its installed and then demonstrated by my elctricity-company ENGIE. It all worked fine with the Android app.
The wallbox did not have a Wifi connection setup yet but I was able to link it to myWallbox account.
There is some help at https://support.wallbox.com/en/ and probably in your language if you remove the "en/" from the link.
Short story: if you want to change the configuration, or setings, of your Wallbox with the Wallbox app then better disable the Wifi on your phone and use only Bluetooth (requires location access).
This applies to setting up Wifi, and updating the box firmware for the first time.
After you have set up Wifi and updated the firmware then disable location access for the Wallbox app on your phone. This disables Bluetooth (the 10 second wait period) for the app.
Switch the Wifi back on your phone on. The Wallbox app will now use Wifi or ethernet to communicate with the Wallbox.
- Phone Configuration: both Bluetooth and Wifi are enabled.
Wallbox: wifi was not set up.
- The Wallbox app reported a new firmware version 5.5.10.
The current version was 4.6.5. So, how hard can it be to upgrade this software ?
Turns out it has its problems.
I tried to update the software but what ever I tried it always failed although I had some strange succesfull server connection messages on the phone's display.
Maybe it needs a Wifi connection which can be set up via Configuration menu "Connectivity" ?
- Set up a Wifi connection via Configuration menu "Connectivity".
I tried to setup a secure Wifi connection for the Wallbox via menu "Connectivity" but the connection attempt always failed. I have 2 encrypted Wifi networks and both failed.
Maybe a persistent typo in the 2 passwords ? So I removed the encryption + password and now the the Wifi set up of an unsecure Wifi connection was successfull.
The help page for this is at How to set up Wifi for...
but it describes only how it should work correctly and does not handle failures.
- Firmware upgrade to version 5.5.10.
After the unsecure Wifi connection worked the software upgrade was succesfull: it is updated to version 5.5.10 .
In myWallbox I can see that the PusarPlus is "Ready" and the Wifi icon is on. I can control the wallbox (amps) via the website.
Now the firmware is up to date I want to use a secure Wifi connection but the “Connectivity" menu in the app is disabled and some setting menus are disabled. What now ?
- Set up a secure Wifi connection via Configuration menu "Connectivity" with firmware 5.5.10.
On the "Charger Info" screen the Wifi MAC address is now 'blank' but why ?
How can I change the Wifi connection when its "Connectivity" menu is disabled ?
One option would be to reset or restore the firmware of the wallbox.
This page How to restore the firmware...
describes how to do that but the "Restore" button is not visible in Configuration menu "Installation options".
The web page does give some hint "Make sure that your smartphone has Bluetooth connection enabled,"
Ok, they don't state it but what if it means "ONLY Bluetooth" thus disable Wifi on the phone ?
I disabled Wifi on the phone and the app connected via Bluetooth to the wallbox. Now the Configuration menu "Connectivity" was enabled and the "Restore" button was visible on the "Installation options".
In addition some other disabled menu items were enabled again.
I made the unsecure Wifi router secure again (encryption and password) and I was finally able to set up a secure Wifi connection.
The "Charger Info" screen displays the Wifi MAC address again.
- Bluetooth problems.
I have multiple phones but only 1 can connect via Bluetooth, with Wifi disabled, on the phone. This is not possible with the other phones, it seems as if they only connect via Wifi to the Wallbox.
I assume the Wallbox allows only 1 (one) Bluetooth connection. But how can I change it to another phone ? Via restore firmware... ?
